EYFS (Reception) Intake for Academic Year 2026-2027

Annually in the second half of the autumn term, we offer an open evening to prospective parents for entry to the Reception class (this will be advertised nearer the time on this page). I would also encourage you to look at our gallery, newsletters and the parents section for information about the learning and other experiences at Roseacres.

The Essex Local Authority only coordinate admission applications for a school place in Reception for a September intake.

 

Prospective Parents Application Dates: 

  • Online admissions open week commencing 10th November 2025.
  • The admission round closing date is set and advised by the Essex Local Authority as 15th January 2026.
  • Essex Local Authority offer letters are expected to be issued on 16th April 2026.

Mid-year Admissions - Years 1-6

We offer tours to Mid-year admissions during the year by request.

We are only able to admit pupils who are in years 1 - 6 where there is space to do so (maximum class size 30); this is known as a mid-year admission. As of 1st April 2022 mid-year applications to the school should be made direct using the Mid-year Application Form under Admissions documents below - PLEASE DO NOT APPLY VIA ESSEX COUNTY COUNCIL.

Following your mid-year application to the school you will sent a letter to confirm the outcome of your request, e.g. offer or refusal of a place. If a place is offered, you should contact the school office to make an appointment to see the head teacher, have a tour of the school and collect the school admission forms. These must be returned with your child’s (long) birth certificate prior to a date being agreed for your child/ren to start.
